End of Year Movie! What a fabulous year!
* Here is our thank you letter from LA20
Dear LA 30 and Mrs Russell,
Thank you for letting us attend the POWER day. We enjoyed when you did the skit for us at the beginning. We also hope that you enjoyed organising the special day for us too! We had fun making the masks, doing the treasure hunt, reading super hero stories as well as adding our super hero heads to the colouring page!
Thanks for all our awesome stickers! Our mums and dads were really proud. If it wasnt so close to the end of the year, we would have LOVED it if you had time to design another special day of events for us!

21/10/2013- Welcome Back!
Welcome back! How quickly this year is going by. I am sure it is not going to slow down and Term 4 is going to move quickly. NAPLAN reports were handed out today. All students tried their hardest and it is important to remind them that it is 1 test on 1 day and not the full picture of what they are capable of, or what their talents might be.
Swimming lesson start next week, so make sure students hand their swimming notes and money to the office as soon as possible. It is a 9 day block, as Friday 1st of November is a Staff Development (Pupil Free) Day.
Today in class students were asked to reflect on their technology use in the classroom. Some of their responses can be read in our class 'Technology Times' news article.

Thank you to all of the families for providing the beautiful plates of food today! I am amazed and thankful to the support the parents of LA30 demonstrate on a daily basis. The LA30 students are blessed! The students behaved beautifully during the shared lunch and brought in some great books to share. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from Mrs Murray- Librarian and Astronaut extraordinaire!
Have a great weekend!

What's on in Perth?
Western Australian Art Gallery presents:
VAN GOGH, DALÍ AND BEYOND: THE WORLD REIMAGINED 22 June - 2 December 2013 This exhibition presents three of the most fundamental artistic genres which link and transcend the ‘isms’ of twentieth century art, from Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism and beyond to the art of today. This selection of iconic works promises to be a visually stunning array of outstanding works by van Gogh, Picasso, Cézanne, Wesselman, Kahlo, Richter and more. Many of the most important artists of the 20th century will be represented, with works that reinvented Landscape, Still Life and Portraiture in their time. Picture from www.biography.com YEAR 12 PERSPECTIVES 2012 7 March - 30 June 2013 Year 12 Perspectives is your yearly taste of art by the best, brightest and most talented graduating high school artists in the State. An annual barometer of what our youth are thinking and feeling, it is also a rich celebration of the role the arts play in the development of individual identities. |

15th March 2013- Stop Bullying in Schools
STUDENTS and parents nationwide will be asked to rate how well their school has performed in preventing bullying on a new Federal Government website.
The audit tool will use the feedback from various categories - including behaviour management and school leadership commitment - to create an analysis of schools requiring greater attention.
The data can be accessed on the Safe Schools Hub website, being launched today by School Education Minister Peter Garrett as part of the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. The website also provides information for parents and teachers on anti-bullying initiatives, resources and the Government's Safe Schools Framework.
