GROUP ACTIVITIES:
Work in a group of 3 or 4 to complete the tasks below. It is expected that all tasks will be completed and you will have evidence of each task. (Screen shot, Saved Doc, Finished Product, Photo) It is YOUR responsibility to collect the evidence and store it in a safe spot. (Keynote or Desktop Folder)
Additional Information
1. You DO NOT need to complete the tasks in any particular order.
2. Yes, you may work on these tasks at home.
3. If, for some reason the technology is not working or is slow, complete a task that does not utilise the internet or complete the task in a way that doesn't use the internet- Problem Solve!
Task 1: Definition
What does diversity mean to you? Drawing upon your own words and experiences, write a definition of diversity. Use examples from your school or community to illustrate your definition. (Please complete a draft copy and check punctuation and spelling before adding to the Padlet- you could do this in Notes.)
Task 2: Survey
Each person in your group will need to fill in the 'Diversity in our classroom' Survey.
Task 3: Short Film Festival
Collect 20 - 30 photos that capture the theme 'Diversity'. These must be 'free' (creative common) pictures or photos that you have taken. Create a short film (3-4 Mins) in iMovie demonstrating 'Diversity'. Click on the link below (Makerbook) to search sites for 'free images'- Make sure your music suits the theme and that it is 'free music'. (You could try the 'Free Music Archive')
