In this project, you will be exploring careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM. After researching, you will create a written product about what you learned.
The first step in this project is to research. The goal of the following activities is for you to gain knowledge and understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers. You should take notes on each activity you do, which you will turn in. You must complete at least 8 points from the following menu, but you can always do more and go above and beyond.

1.Infographic (1 point): An infographic is a visual representation of information or data. Study this infographic and take notes.

2. Science Career List (3 points): On this website, there is a list of hundreds of careers in Science. (Note: There are several links at the top, such as Earth and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering etc., each with careers under it). Pick 3 jobs that look interesting and take notes on them.
3. Interviews (3 points): This site finds cool jobs in STEM, and interviews different people about their careers. Categories include video game designers, deep sea biologists, and robotics engineers. Pick 3 people who have interesting jobs and read their interviews, then take notes.
4. TED Talks (3 points): Pick three interesting TED Talks from this list about Math in Real Life. Watch the TED Talk and take notes.
5. Interview (2 points): With permission from your parents, make a list of questions that you will use to interview someone you know who works in a STEM career. Take notes on their responses.
6. Studying the Greats (2 points): Research a famous scientist who lived at any point and take notes on their life. If you need help picking a scientist, check out this list.
7. Library Sources (2 points): Utilise a library's books, encyclopaedias, and journals on this topic, and take notes.
